Mike & Jen Nakamura join Reedy Safaris for a deer hunt Pt1

Mike and Jen (sister) take a break from the walk near a waterfall (about 3 k’s from camp)

Jen relaxes before we set up camp, if you really want to experience the getaway feeling, then 4-5 hours drive is the norm. Plenty of wood for the evenings relax and plan for the next few days whilst watching the coals.

Now here are a couple of people well out of their comfort zones, stalking deer, learning habits, and working very hard to stay standing up. Some like it tough, these two swallowed tough an asked for more.

Jen having an afternoon nap on a rock bed albeit softened by her guide with leaves and bark, a midday rest can be an extremely important part of the days hunt. Refreshing the eyes for the glassing ahead and resetting the mind for the return to camp.

With amazing views it is hard not to just look, seeing a deer is a bonus. The experience of the hunt is taken with you forever! Yes we do repeat business …….. regularly!

For many it is a break from the pressures of the real world, a spontaneous photo of two people who on reaching a mind blowing view just released all their worldly stresses into the wild. G’teed they felt better for it too!

The set-up from deluxe campers, comfortable sleeping arrangements are important for 2 or more nights. The body can get very worn down with the late nights an early mornings, this is a double of road with enough room to sleep 6 people easily. Sets up in 10-15 mins, 100% worth it.

Mike on his trainee-ship looking for deer trying hard not to look at the spectacular view, it didn’t take long for him to spot them either. Of course the best students are those that want to learn the hunt.

This was part one of their course, there will be more to follow. You are welcome any time to start your trip with us….
