About Us

Reedy Safaris started in early 2007 at the request of many “newbie” sambar deer hunters. We started out and still do it as a non-profit business; the reason behind this is that we can only justify charging for the running costs of the business, the time we have to expend on research and the materials involved

We do not charge a trophy fee as the deer are not ours to sell, the are wild and free range and therefore you will learn about “real sambar”.

Reedy Safaris has the ability to cater for most types of sambar hunting (unfortunately we do not run hounds) and learning sambar habits; from sitting and glassing to still hunting.

We have taken clients from 18yrs to 65yrs and all have had a wonderful time, both learning and succeeding in becoming “sambar hunters”.

There is a difference between being a “shooter” and being a “hunter” and Reedy Safaris are a group of dedicated people showingsambar hunting techniques.

Money spent with us is a great investment, all you have to do is add up what you would spend in 3 months of
driving to and from sambar hunting areas
and the time to realise good value.

Reedy safaris guides
only carry rifles as back up for the chance of finishing wounded animal, “we do not hunt we show” and therefore you learn so much more.

Some services guarantee success, the only guarantee and Reedy Safaris goal is that we put in 100% effort so you learn more and hopefully succeed in the quest of a successful sambar hunter.

For your learning experience,
The Reedy Crew
